Winters in West Glacier

Snowy Trails & Warm Accommodations

The Belton Chalet Tap Room offers a warm fire and hearty food and beverages after your winter weekend trip in Glacier Park. When the larch needles have fallen and fall begins to turn winter white, the fires will be burning at the Belton Chalet. The Tap Room hearth offers a warm place to defrost after a day in the snow, and the two cottage rentals each provide private gas fireplaces - perfect for hibernating after a day of play.

Winter is a wonderful time to visit the Belton Chalet and Glacier National Park. Our restaurant and Tap Room are open for weekend service from December through March. Enjoy hearty and flavorful dishes made Stay cozey in the Belton Chalet Tap Roomfrom local foods prepared by Chef Melissa Mangold on Friday and Saturday nights, and for brunch on Sundays. Every Saturday features a performance by talented local artists at 7 pm.

From November through April, snow based activities draw travelers looking for a unique experience off the beaten path. Guests will find miles of cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails in and around Glacier National Park. Other day activities in the area include downhill skiing and snowboarding, sleigh rides, ice skating and snowmobiling.
