Belton Chalet is pleased to announce the addition of the newly remodeled Adobe House vacation home to their collection of unique vacation accommodations in West Glacier, Montana. The Adobe House was the original Glacier National Park home of park inspired author Jack Holtermann. The original adobe construction features authentic Mexican bricks with a southwestern inspired ambiance and the open floor plan is perfect for family vacations.
The Belton Chalet’s Adobe House is the newest of our properties, with modern amenities including full kitchen, wireless internet, flat screen TV and an old-fashioned landline for local use. The vacation rental also features wrap around porch with outdoor BBQ, and claw foot tub. The Adobe House sleeps six guests, with two bedrooms (one queen each), loft style bunk beds, and two bathrooms.
Cas Still and Andy Baxter found and saved this eclectic home from dereliction in 2010 and gave the historic Adobe House a Glacier vacation inspired renovation using 100% recycled and original materials. The Adobe features Cas Still’s hand selected furnishings and creations by Andy Baxter including the dining room table set. Andy crafted the table and benches from two Peruvian colonial doors he found and shipped them from Florida. The beautiful glass covered table is perfect for hosting meals, arts & crafts, and games with the family.
*4-wheel drive required in the winter(November-March).
